Life has been pretty hectic lately. Not sure where to start, the best place is probably to talk about national adoption week in the UK which takes place between the 31 October – 6 November 2011. This is a good place to start as it is fair to say that adoption and families are one of the reasons we created Love You Photography, in part for a life style change and in part to spend more quality time with our two incredible children (yet to happen!) we like to describe ourselves as proud adoptive parents. We were thrilled this year when the British Association for Adoption and Fostering asked us if we would like to take part in their exciting video competition as a judge – we jumped at the opportunity and feel very privileged to have been asked. We we have watched the six short-listed videos and they were all great, really difficult to choose a winner – especially when people have shared a very private moment, having said that, we did choose our winner and look forward to finding out who won, please take a moment to visit the BAAF website and check out the videos that people who have a connection with adoption have made to show “what adoption means to me”.
We recently had a lovely session in the South Lakes with a couples daughter and her friend. The family live in a stunning location with their own river, tree lined drive, country house and gardens to match, it is a beautiful location.
I showed her mum the images on the iPad last week and she cried “happy tears” when she saw them, can’t wait now to show all of her family next week on the portable HD screen we use for home presentations.
Made my week to see her great reaction to our images – priceless.
Commercial accountancy shoot
As well as being our company accountants, Armstrong Watson are also a client of Love You Photography. We have shot over 100 of their staff this year, mainly white screen black & White grainy shots for their new website. We have now started to shoot relaxed group shots for them of their department teams such as IT, HR and Marketing, as well as images that can be used as banners for the new site. We are excited about the next phase which will see us shooting their customers on location – hoping that their music band clients need to be photographed!
something for us!
With family and Work life as busy as ever we have found very little time recently to just grab the camera and go for a walk. These two shots made me smile as they were exactly what we were looking for when I grabbed the D3s and went for a family stroll in search of mud and puddles for our daughters to play in – it really was a great walk 🙂
